Founding Evelyn Pierce Design Studio in 2014, Evelyn has been captivated by residential architecture since she was a little girl. With a delicate balance of architectural detail and spatial problem-solving skills, she has focused her fourteen years of experience on custom residential, historic renovations, and small-scale multi-family. Prior to founding her own studio, Evelyn worked as a staff architect at both McAlpine and Barnes Vanze Architects, Inc. and as a senior designer at Darryl Carter, Inc. Evelyn has extensive work within the Washington D.C. area, as well as surrounding states, and is proud to call this region her long-time home. Evelyn dedicates herself fully to all projects and has taken on many of her own home renovations in search of new materials and methods to introduce to clients.
Originally from Alabama, Evelyn honors her southern parentage in all she does – artfully composing client visions with her keen eye and sophisticated aesthetic. Her ease with design is seen in her personal passion, including painting and gardening (her favorites being southern magnolias, English roses, and tulips). She and her husband Nathan enjoy continually perfecting their own home while sipping bourbon cocktails by the grill in their backyard and playing with their dog, Bella.
Evelyn earned both her Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Interior Architecture degrees from Auburn University. She is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects, a LEED Green Associate, and an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
